Summary:
This was a complete overhaul & redesign that brought 3 separate web “plaftforms” under one site in 2014. Specifically, it borught show tickets and classes (different 3rd party sites) under the secondycity.com url to allows for seamless perrusal of the company as well as it’s international offerings for trips, classes and dinner package specials.
The redesign is still prevelent over a decade later. It was a design that was implemented by creating a custom responsive Wordpress theme using only bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3 & javascript. Additionally, the APIs that were opened for both the classroom & ticket systems were integrated via custom built Wordpress plugins to minimize code bloat.
a few features of the site still in effect: Taking it a little further towards an app by introducing the following features:
- Geolocation to render the location closest to you
- the About Us section is a virtual museum of comedy history
- The classes section still pulls updated info from a 3rd party
